This week in X-Factor was Disco Week.
First up was Rachel sing Caught in A Trap which was in my opinion average. Louis Also described the performance as average. Cheryl didn't think Rachel hit the first note while Simon described her performance as clumsy and uncomfortable. Dannii put it down to nerves as she was first up. Louis didn't think she hit the first note while Simon described the performance as clumsy and uncomfortable - Dannii knew Simon would hate and confirmed she did mess up the start although a great performance and the audience loved it.
Second up was Austin singing wishing on a star. i thought he had an appalling start but got better as he got in to the song. Louis thought he was vocally good though he didn't think will impress the public and must have a personality! Dannii said he made it on stage and had great vocals and all he should want to do is enjoy that he is here now. Cheryl thought the performance was stunning with beautiful choreography and that he worried too much about his voice rather than emotion of the song. Simon thought he was distracted as he has the hots for one of the dancers, Austin declined to comment. Simon advised not enough credit was given and he chose a difficult song and he not yet heard the best and hopes he survives this week.
Third was Dian Vickers singing Blondie call me. I think she tried to make the song her own and killed it. It was karaoke standard and deserved the bottom two. Louis would have liked to see her dance. Dannii thought the performance really suited her. Simon told her it was a good job could not see behind her due to the awful routine but she managed to make a difficult genre work. Cheryl thought she got better every week and told the other judges that x-factor was not a dance competition and was in fact a singing competition.
Forth up was Daniel Evans singing don't leave me this way which was flat compared to communards. It was however good performance. Dancers a were a little poor and not in time with each other. Louis says he saved him last week as emotional performance and this week hated the dancing and singing and good for cruise ship. Cheryl told him to stop taking the criticism to heart as not half that that a recording artist would get and to enjoy the show even if hitting few bum notes. Simon thought it was one of worst performances they had on the show. Dannii thought it suited him so much and loved the production and voice.
Fifth was Laura White from Bolton singing somebody else's guy. It was a little dodgy at the start and few dodgy notes throughout. Louis said it was a very hard song but perfectly belted out. Dannii said she should not be able to do that at her age and it was magnificent Simon thought it was an outstanding vocal but did feel it was a little forced and he didn't think she was connected in the way she looked and performed as an all round artist. Cheryl disagreed.
Sixth was Eoghan singing could it be magic. He was worried after saying never performed a disco song. Will young also commented on his softer voice. He could not hold the notes, the performance was awful. bottom two if up to me! Louis thought it was fantastic. Dannii advised he followed through and made current what he performed. Chery advised he had gone back to cute and at parts was uncomfortable. Simon disagreed and thought it was excellent.
Seventh was Ruth singing no more tears. Dannii was worried as had not been well with throat infection. The performance was excellent. Great start, fantastic performance and excellent choreography. Certainly a worthy winner so far. Louis said she is a fighter but four other girls are better. Cheryl advised she has real belief and is always dramatic and strong, people are keeping her in for talent not because she comes from a region of the UK. Simon thought he was being dumped, great passion, no-one tries harder week on week. Dannii - brilliant and knows how much she struggled. top note was also brilliant.
Eighth was Alexandra Burke singing on the radio. She was looking forward to four hot male dancers this week and hot they were hot in their leather pants! stunning! Could improve but a fabulous voice. Louis loved everything, Dannii advised big stars are those who can tour and Alexandra would be amazing in concert. Simon said she was the most improved over two weeks and he was not sure why she never went in few years ago. Louis argues he put Shayne in and he won! Cheryl says she has gotten stronger and never lets her down.
last to perform were JLS singing working my way back to you. They sounded like the bee gees without Duracell! Dannii advised not to let backing singers take over. Cheryl thought they were the best group in x-factor ( well they are the last one there!), Simon said they were back in race.
